Babies are born through movement
4-Day In-Person Professionl Training
Exploring the Biomechanics of Birth and Well-Woman Care.
Sebastopol, California
June 26-29, 2025
10am - 5pm
Birth has always asked everything of us.
It brings us face to face with the limits—and the brilliance—of our own design. And while we can’t control the mystery of it, we can learn to support the process with more clarity, more precision, and more respect for how the female body actually works. This training is for those ready to look at birth through a biomechanical lens. Because when tissues are mobile, when bones can move, when load is well-distributed—birth tends to work.
This intensive is for birth professionals (midwives, doulas, OBGYN's), movement therapists, massage therapists, myofunctional therapists, chiropractors, and mothers alike- the more involved we all are in our birth culture, the better our birth culture becomes.
Add it to your self-directed prenatal care kit, your midwifery skills, your movement + bodywork practice, or your rightful knowledge as a woman.
During this intensive you will learn:
-
In-depth uterine + pelvic anatomy and physiology through the pregnancy + birth continuum.
-
How to mobilize the pelvic inlet, mid-pelvis, and the outlet in preparation for birth.
-
Prenatal postural patterns + the connection to fetal positioning and birth patterns.
-
Whole-body, dynamic biomechanical preparation for birth during pregnancy.
-
Introductory manual therapy + craniosacral techniques for mobility of the inlet, midpelvis and outlet and addressing pain patterns in pregnancy.
-
Skills for palpating + working with the psoas, anterior + posterior pelvic ligaments, sacrum, and pelvic bowl.
-
Specific origins + movement practices for common pain patterns including SPD, sciatica, SI joint + back pain, heartburn, and more.
This workshop includes lectures, movement practices and individual posture assessments.
You will receive a certificate of completion.
Credit towards CEUs available.
This is an invitation to deepen your understanding of the female form—not through abstraction, but through the tissues themselves. You’ll leave with a clearer map of what you’re seeing and feeling, and a more grounded sense of how to support women from the inside out.
Meet Your Instructors

Mandy is a mother, midwife, Womb Continuum Care provider, and folk herbalist. She has supported hundreds of women through every phase of the childbearing continuum over the past 15 years, from remote unassisted births to busy international hospitals. Her work is grounded in a deep belief in the body’s capacity to change — and in practices that support that change through physiologically informed movement, hands-on care, and midwifery wisdom.
Together, Adelaide and Mandy share a deep devotion to restoring reverence for the female body. Their work blends science and tradition, structure and lived experience — in service of women’s well-being, and the future of women’s care.
